ISACA Debuts New Risk Certification for IT Professionals
Accreditations are essential aspects for IT professionals who work in the information systems controls environment, identifying and successfully managing risks. These credentials validate an individual's ability to develop, implement, and maintain information systems control properly and successfully. In particular, large corporations, enterprises, and industries often achieve their business goals through day-to-day operations that have taken place safely due to the implementation of certain security measures. ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association) has implemented a new CRISC credential – the Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control certification.
In order to obtain CRISC security certification, IT professionals have a two-fold process to get through. First, they must have 3 full years of related on-the-job experience. Next, they must pass the CRISC certification exam, which is only given twice a year.
Companies that recognize the importance of good risk management achieve greater financial success through the avoidance of lost revenue that often occurs due to making the wrong business decisions. Channeling efforts to encompass innovative choices and sustainable growth often involves the need to assess potential risk factors. This is the place where someone holding the Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control certification can help to determine the viability of choosing certain business paths. The ability to focus on potential risks and determine methods of avoiding possible loss of income and profitability is a valuable asset that all businesses should take advantage of regularly.
